Damian and Ashley first met in 2020 while working at Gator's Dockside. Damian had started working there as a food runner just about two weeks before Ashley joined the team as a host.

Before Ashley and Damian officially met, Ashley’s sister Samantha actually met Damian first — making her the very first person in Ashley’s family to know him.

What started as a workplace friendship quickly became something special. Despite Ashley’s naturally reserved and shy personality, Damian had a way of bringing her out of her shell unlike anyone else she had met before. From the very beginning, he made her laugh, feel comfortable, and truly be herself- laying the foundation for the relationship that brought everyone together today.

Six years later, Damian and Ashley took a trip to New York City with Damian’s dad. It was Ashley’s first time visiting the city.

On their first day, Damian brought Ashley to Central Park to see the beautiful Untermyer Fountain, where he planned to propose. He had memorized lines from Ashley’s favorite story, Pride and Prejudice, but once the moment came, he got so nervous he forgot everything and simply spoke from the heart.

Right after Ashley said yes, Damian was so overwhelmed he thought he might faint, so they quickly found a hot dog stand and celebrated their engagement with New York hot dogs.

The rest of the trip was spent exploring New York City together as a newly engaged couple!
